A picture perfect Headstone Lane welcomed the first of the season's double headers as the 1s took on Chess Valley in the league with the 2s facing higher league opposition in Dunstablians.
Whilst the 1s cruised to another comfortable victory, the 2s battled hard against a well drilled side with the result hanging in the balance until the dying moments of the game.
The matches were followed by a rousing call to arms by Chairman Nash, who called for all club member to play their part in a season full of promise.
